Years in the Making

Hello Skyview Friends,

We hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July!

This weekend we were blessed to have family and friends join us here at the farm to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. There was great food, plenty of laughter, fireworks, and an evening spent gathered around the fire pit. It was a day we’ll remember for a long time.

As we sat around the fire Saturday night, Derrick and I found ourselves reflecting on how this weekend was actually years in the making.

A few years ago, we set a goal for ourselves: to buy a farm and be living in the country in time to host a Fourth of July celebration for America’s 250th birthday. At the time, it felt like a big dream. There were plenty of unknowns and more than a few moments where it seemed impossible.

Yet there we were.

Surrounded by family and friends, celebrating our country while looking out across the land we now call home. It was a special reminder that when you’re willing to work hard, stay focused, and trust the process, incredible things are possible.

That reflection also makes this the perfect time to share another exciting update.

Later this summer, Skyview Farm will officially become Mine Creek Farmstead.

This new name marks the beginning of a new chapter for this special place while honoring the rich history of eastern Kansas. An offshoot of Mine Creek winds through the western edge of our property, making the name especially meaningful to us and deeply connected to the land itself.

It also allows the Skyview name to continue with the Noffkes as they build the next chapter of Skyview Creamery in Atchison—a legacy we’re proud to continue supporting by carrying their wonderful cheeses in our farm store.

Over the coming weeks, you’ll begin to notice our name and visual identity changing across our website, social media, and signage. While the look may be evolving, the things that matter most never will.

The same dedication to healthy, well-cared-for animals.

The same commitment to exceptional quality and fresh raw milk.

The same passion for stewarding this land well.

And the same desire to serve this incredible community.

Thank you for being part of our journey. Whether you’ve been with Skyview for years or have just recently discovered us, we’re grateful you’re here and excited to welcome you into this next chapter as Mine Creek Farmstead.
