Progress Under Construction

Hello Skyview Friends,

It's been another busy couple of weeks around the farm!

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to celebrate a very special occasion—our nephew's baptism. As we were finishing up lunch at a Chinese restaurant (nephew’s favorite), we all opened our fortune cookies, and Derrick’s read:

"The road to success is always under construction."

We couldn't help but smile because it feels incredibly fitting for this season of life.

There is always another project to tackle, another problem to solve, or another improvement to make. But we're making progress one step at a time and that's what matters most.

A quick reminder for our raw milk customers: we're still in our seasonal dip in milk production as several of our Jersey girls prepare to calve. We expect supply to remain a little tighter for the next few weeks, so we recommend placing your orders early whenever possible. We're also saving as much milk as we can for fresh batches of yogurt, so thank you for your patience while we balance everything this time of year.

Behind the scenes, we're also making great progress on our brand-new website for Mine Creek Farmstead! We're excited to unveil it in the next couple of weeks and can't wait to share it with all of you.

We also have a quick update from the Noffkes in Atchison. Things continue to move forward at Skyview Creamery! The last of the bakery equipment is out and the creamery equipment is in as they work toward opening. They're now waiting on the final work from the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractors before moving into the next phase.

Sheri also shared that Stephen unfortunately tore his Achilles tendon this week. We'd appreciate it if you would keep him and the entire Noffke family in your thoughts and prayers as they continue working toward opening the new creamery.

Last, but not least, we are still on Darcy Watch 2026. Her due date is tomorrow, August 5. So we're expecting another new calf at any moment!
