Chickens
Our broilers are raised in portable, floorless shelters that are moved onto fresh clover and grass twice a day. They are fed a natural grain diet free of the standard fare of antibiotics or growth stimulants. These birds enjoy eating, scratching, and pecking through the grass as they improve (fertilize) our pesticide and herbicide-free pasture. Studies have shown that pastured chickens are low in saturated fats and high in CLA’s (conjugated linoleic acid). But most people just love their flavor. Our chickens not only taste better, they’re much better for you.

Turkeys
We also raise holiday turkeys in the fall. They are fed in the same manner as the broilers only they “gobble” up quite a bit more. Nothing injected into these plump birds. Just pure tender turkey flavor. We raise a limited number, so order early.

Free Range Eggs
We have what we think are the best eggs around. Free ranging hens lay eggs that are high in CLAs, folic acid, and omega-3 fatty acids while low in the “bad” cholesterol. These eggs are as nutritious as they are delicious. The yolks are bright yellow and stand up in the pan. Our hens happily search for tasty bugs, clovers, and other tidbits in the fresh air and sunshine.

Grass-Finished Beef
Our beef and dairy steers are treated to management intensive grazing through the growing season. That means we move them to a fresh grass paddock every day or two and rest the pasture they have eaten. It takes more time and energy, but the pastures thrive and the animals love it.

When it comes time to "finish" we let the steers chow down on the best lush spring or fall grasses and clovers. They easily fatten but with the good "fats". This means sides and quarters are available only in late spring and fall. Individual cuts are available on a first come basis. We do not use feedlots, growth hormones, or chemical pour-overs.

Pastured Pork
Our pigs are raised in a wooded area where they enjoy rooting and wallowing in the shade. They love their milk-soaked organic grain. No antibiotics or chemical wormers added.

Meat Goats
Our Boer goats are raised on pasture and fed organic grain. Chevon (goat meat) is high in protein and low in saturated fat. This meat tastes similar to beef or lamb. Goat meat may be purchased by the whole goat or by the cut.

Dairy Goats
Our daughter Rachel raises a few Alpine dairy goats for milk and some cheese. They are fed organic alfalfa, organic corn and roasted soybeans. Milk is sold by the half-gallon. Cheeses are available upon request.

Dairy Cows
We raise grass-based dairy cows that spend most of their days on the pasture. They are fed a minimal amount of organic grain. Our rich Jersey whole milk is non-homogenized and is sold in gallon glass jars with a distinctive cream-line. Yogurt, cheeses, and other milk products are available.
